Guided breathing exercise*. This is a 3 minute breathing exercise recorded live in class. Use it to build lung capacity and breath control. It can also be very relaxing and meditative. The exercise is: breathe in for a count of 4, hold for 4, exhale for 4, hold with empty lungs for 4. As you progress, you can increase the number to 6, 8, 16...

Breath Reset exercise*: Here is a breathing exercise to try for resetting and coming back to a calmer space. As with everything, this exercise isn't right for everyone - if you have any discomfort, please stop immediately and breathe normally.
*Note: if you feel uncomfortable during the exercise, please stop immediately. Take note of body sensations you feel, look around the room, talk to a friend. Most people don't have intense reactions, but if you do, please take them seriously!
